NIGERIA’s BANKING industry has again spotlighted Polaris Bank as a leading force in digital banking, with its innovative VULTe platform winning major accolades at the recent Banks and Other Financial Institutions Awards (BAFI).

Polaris Bank earned the title “Digital Bank of the Year” for the fourth year in a row and “Best Bank for MSMEs” for the third consecutive year.

These prestigious honors emphasize Polaris’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through robust digital solutions.

The BAFI Awards Selection Committee highlighted the bank’s standout performance across critical digital metrics, from customer acquisition and engagement to security and platform functionality.

VULTe, Polaris’s digital banking app, exemplifies these strengths with features like QR payments, instant loans, debit card issuance, and end-to-end account setup—all accessible remotely.

The platform’s API banking capabilities also allow seamless integration for businesses, offering services such as risk assessments and lien accounts.

Polaris Bank’s CEO, Kayode Lawal, attributed the bank’s digital leadership to its user-centric approach, bolstered by significant investments in technology and security.
“This award validates our dedication to delivering safe, convenient digital banking,” said Lawal.

He noted that Polaris recorded over N10 billion in digital lending in the first eight months of 2024, putting it on track to exceed last year’s total of N12.8 billion.

The bank’s VULTe platform continues to serve both Polaris customers and non-customers alike, catering to individual, SME, and retail clients.

With its suite of services and accessible interface, VULTe positions Polaris Bank as a frontrunner in Nigeria’s digital financial landscape, committed to driving growth in the real sector.
