Our analysis shows that stakeholders are paying attention to institutional reforms around electoral and political activities since 2023.
However, several policies and initiatives affecting the socioeconomic status of citizens receive far less attention.
This gap matters. When stakeholders and experts focus less on these policies and initiatives, electorates are less likely to have adequate information to assess them.
At the same time, the media and citizens—expected to play critical non-state actor roles as campaign activities intensify—appear increasingly hidden within the information ecosystem ahead of the elections.
