CONDOLENCES HAVE been extended to the families of victims and organisations affected by Tuesday’s fire outbreak at Afriland Towers on Broad Street, Lagos Island by President Bola Tinubu.

The President conveyed his sympathies to the management and staff of Afriland Properties Limited, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), United Capital, and the United Bank of Africa (UBA) Plc.

He particularly expressed his condolences to those who lost loved ones in the incident and the injured currently receiving medical treatment.

In his statement, President Tinubu commended the swift response of emergency services, including the Federal Fire Service, first aiders, medical personnel, and members of the public who participated in the evacuation efforts.

He also noted their deep sense of responsibility and quick intervention during the emergency, including those of other Nigerians who were the first responders.

The President further advised caution, training, and heightened alertness to prevent similar incidents in the future.

He then offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the departed and for the speedy recovery of the injured.
