Public Warned Against Unregistered Miracle Products Linked to a Church

THE NATIONAL Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is investigating allegations against Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries in Delta State for promoting and selling unregistered “miracle” products.

Complaints have flooded in regarding claims by Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto that these products, including “Miracle Water” and “Miracle Soap,” can heal infertility.

Prophet Omoto allegedly keeps assuring his congregation that using the soap would result in twin pregnancies, falsely stating that NAFDAC had approved these products.

Multiple products were submitted to NAFDAC for verification, including “River Jordan Water,” “Water of Life,” and “Miracle Water from the Pool of Bethsaida.”

Upon investigation, NAFDAC’s Delta State Coordinator confirmed the ministry’s involvement in selling the products without approval.

Despite denying involvement, the ministry’s staff failed to cooperate with further investigation.

NAFDAC officials, alongside the Federal Task Force on Counterfeit and Fake Drugs, attempted to inspect the ministry’s facility on August 27, 2024, but met resistance.

Ministry’s Failure to Comply

Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries did not honour the investigation invitation. Instead, they submitted legal documents requesting additional time.

Further investigation led NAFDAC to seal Globod Table Water, which was identified as an illegal producer of the “miracle” products under a false NAFDAC registration.

The agency has emphasized that none of the products being sold by Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries are registered with NAFDAC.

Delta public and others are urged to stop purchasing these items, as their safety cannot be guaranteed.

The ministry continues to deny any wrongdoing, claiming the use of spiritual items is an expression of their religious beliefs.

Despite their rebuttal, NAFDAC insists that the production and sale of unregistered products remain illegal.
