AS WE have found in previous tracking, stakeholders have many ways of communicating about the forthcoming elections and contributing to credible and peaceful outcomes.
This is hinged on the premise that narrative is no longer a secondary currency in shaping people’s views and eventually winning their hearts. It is now the main currency for persuading and retaining voters.
This tracking further shows the main areas of conversation where stakeholders are making statements capable of stabilising or destabilising the electoral system ahead of the 2027 elections.

In our tracking, we specifically discovered the use of words, phrases and sentences that could collectively lead the public to have mixed views about the possibility of the current electoral system delivering the expected quality outcomes.
Our analysts, however, encourage stakeholders to be more positive about the institutions and people saddled with the responsibility of delivering the elections.
This does not mean that challenges identified should not be brought to the public arena. We are only saying that there is a need for decorum in making statements.
