NIGERIA’S DIGITAL lifestyle T2, partner has unveiled an electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) SIM Registration Web App, described as the first of its kind in the nation’s telecommunications sector.

The company stated that the innovative application redefines SIM registration by delivering a seamless, fast, and secure customer onboarding process.

It explained that the service is available to existing and prospective customers, channel and retail partners, T2 shops, agents, and staff across its retail ecosystem.

According to the announcement, the eKYC SIM Registration Web App was developed with accessibility in mind, operating efficiently on any smartphone, including in low-connectivity environments.

T2 confirmed that the service caters to individual, corporate, and foreign customers, making the platform inclusive and designed to reach all categories of users.

The company emphasised that the application complies fully with regulatory requirements governing SIM registration in Nigeria, ensuring that every registration remains secure, accurate, and aligned with the standards set by relevant authorities.

Ayodeji Adedeji, Chief Technical & Information Officer at T2, said the launch represents a major step forward in the firm’s digital innovation drive.

“We are excited to introduce this groundbreaking solution to our customers and partners. Our new SIM Registration Web App, a flagship innovation following our recent brand unveiling, is designed to revolutionise customer onboarding – making it faster, easier, and more seamless, while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements,” he said.

T2 noted that the introduction of the platform reflects its long-term commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

The company explained that the new app shortens registration turnaround times, strengthens compliance, and enhances user experience across all customer touchpoints.

The statement highlighted several features integrated into the eKYC SIM Registration Web App.

These include digital onboarding with real-time image capture and ID verification, instant NIN validation through the National Identity Management Commission database, and a comprehensive framework for handling registrations for individuals, corporates, and foreign nationals.

Other features include smart geo-location technology to ensure accuracy of registrations within approved locations, as well as a streamlined, customer-friendly workflow that enables photo capture, ID upload, declaration, and instant SIM activation.

T2 added that its brand philosophy rests on four pillars: Fast Connectivity, Smart Lifestyle, Creative Energy, and Trust.

The company explained that these principles guide its mission to serve as the digital heartbeat of a rising generation, empowering Nigerians to thrive in a world that is increasingly connected.

With the launch of the eKYC SIM Registration Web App, T2 affirmed that it has taken a decisive step towards reshaping the customer onboarding process in telecommunications, setting what it described as a new benchmark in the industry.
