ON COMPLETION of his working vacation in France, President Bola Tinubu has departed Paris for Nigeria, with his aircraft expected to arrive at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, later today.
JKNewsMedia.com reports that the President will first travel to Lagos to honour the memory of Chief MKO Abiola, whom the statement described as a martyr of Nigeria’s democratic struggle.
On Independence Day, Tinubu is scheduled to attend the premiere of a film honouring Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos.
During his stay in Lagos, the President will also hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates as preparations for the 2027 elections continue. He is expected to remain in the city for several days before returning to Abuja.

Tinubu departed Abuja on August 30 for his working vacation, spending one week in London before proceeding to Paris.
In Paris, the President attended a private dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and held meetings with business leaders, including Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group, whose media and digital interests include Canal+, MultiChoice and Universal Music Group.
He also met the Chairman of First Holdings, Femi Otedola, on Monday.
Last week, Tinubu witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ogun State Government and DP World for the development of a Gateway deep seaport in Ogun Waterside and the creation of a Blue Marine Economic Zone in the area.
DP World is reported to plan to invest $7 billion in the seaport and economic zone.
The President is expected to return to Abuja after completing his political engagements in Lagos.
