WORLD AFFAIRS has recognised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria as one of the ten best leaders on the planet.
The list, released by the global think tank, acknowledges Tinubu’s influence and leadership among other prominent world leaders.
Born on 29 March 1952, Tinubu has a long history of public service. He served as the Governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, where his administration was credited with significant infrastructure development and governance reforms.
His rise to Nigeria’s presidency on May 29, 2023, marked the continuation of his political journey as the nation’s 16th Commander-in-Chief.
Tinubu is married to Oluremi Tinubu, the current First Lady of Nigeria. She previously held the position of First Lady of Lagos State and served as a Senator representing Lagos Central from 2011 to 2023.
According to media reports, the couple’s enduring partnership has been instrumental in shaping their public service contributions.
