EDUCATION PROVIDERS are intensifying efforts to remove barriers that keep millions of Africans out of school, with Transformation College of Business and Technology unveiling two new tuition-free professional certificate programmes.

The institution confirmed in a statement that the semester will begin on 20 September and conclude on 13 December 2025, delivered through live online classes.

The programmes, Certificate in Information Systems (CIS) and Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Business Management (EBM), have been designed to respond to the growing demand for practical digital and business expertise across the continent.

The CIS programme will focus on technical competence and applied knowledge for today’s digital economy, while the EBM course will provide aspiring and existing entrepreneurs with tools for enterprise growth, sustainability, and modern management practices.

The college stated that the initiative aligns with its wider mission to provide tuition-free, globally relevant education that goes beyond academic training.

It added that the commitment reflects the urgency of tackling Africa’s education crisis, where the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) records show that more than 98 million children and young people in Sub-Saharan Africa remain out of school due to poverty, insecurity, child labour, early marriage, and infrastructure gaps.

Also, the programme is funded by the Transformation Foundation of Business and Technology, with additional support from Training Heights Ltd, Audit, Advisory, Assurance and Assessment Services Ltd (A4S), and Standards and Best Practices Ltd.

The partners reiterated that their joint dedication to high-quality, transformative education that bridges the gap between learning and employability.

Edith Ugochukwu, Programme Director at Transformation College, said: “Our mission is to break barriers to education by making professional training accessible, practical, and globally relevant.

These certificate programmes are also designed to empower participants with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in today’s fast-changing economy.”

The college, which operates as a tuition-free professional training institution, continues to expand opportunities in business, technology, artificial intelligence, project management, ISO standards, and personal excellence.

It reiterated that its model is aimed at developing a new generation of skilled professionals across Africa and beyond.

The institution noted that registration is now open to interested participants through the institution’s official website, with classes scheduled to run throughout the September–December semester.
