CUSTOMERS ARE set to receive rewards and support initiatives as Wema Bank marks its 81st anniversary alongside the ninth anniversary of ALAT on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
JKNewsMedia.com reports that the bank confirmed that its 81st anniversary will depart from the grand celebration held for its 80th milestone in 2025, choosing instead to give back to customers.
The programme includes rewards for users on the ALAT app to mark ALAT at nine, alongside benefits for Wema Bank customers during the launch of the fifth season of its 5 for 5 Reward Initiative, scheduled for the anniversary day.
Activities for the anniversary also align with the theme, “Your Future of Possibilities, Powered by Wema Bank”, with the rollout of a specialised customer success initiative.
The bank stated that the initiative will support different customer groups in mapping and building their future, offering tailored, practical and strategic insights to businesses, students, working class women and creatives, among others, to access opportunities and make progress towards their goals.
