BLACK STARS of Ghana early Saturday morning Nigerian time traded off the big hope Africa entrusted in them to be the 3rd African nation to qualify for the round of 32 games of the current football world cup.

Ghana was piped by an early lone goal at Kansa Stadium scored by Jhon Arias for Columbia when Luis Suarez gave him an assist in the 14th minute of play.

The goal tally would have increased in the 57th minute when Luis Diaz scored from offside and VAR rejected it.

It was a shocking performance from Ghana who had no single shot on target (0-8), had 2-3 yellow cards and 2-3 corner kicks.

Africa that had nine teams qualify for the round of 32 stage had only two in Morocco and Egypt both from North Africa sail into the round of 16 stages.

Argentina that survived the Sharks of Capo Verde earlier 3-2 will face another African test in Egypt on Tuesday 7th July in the R16 Games. Canada will have their African acid test against Morocco today Saturday at 6pm; Paraguay faces France at 10pm.

Only one match will be played on Sunday when Brazil takes on Norway at 9pm. On Monday at 1am it will be England versus Mexico; Portugal meets Spain at 8pm same Monday; USA trades tackles with Belgium on Tuesday at 1am; Argentina vs Egypt at 5pm on Tuesday while Switzerland is waiting for winner of the Ghana vs Columbia match for the R16 Game at 9pm on Tuesday.

PLEASE NOT THAT FIFA PLANS TO CHANGE MATCH TIME FOR MANY GAMES BECAUSE OF PREVAILING HOT WEATHER IN THE REGIONS.
