THE Abia State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of the tragic death of a 500-level student, Emmanuel Uche, from Abia State University.

In a swift operation conducted on Thursday, the prime suspect responsible for Uche’s death was apprehended by operatives of the Abia State Police Command.

His arrest followed intensive efforts based on credible information and footage obtained from a viral video circulated on various social media platforms.

According to Maureen Chinaka, the police spokesperson, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, the arrested individual in believed to be one of the key perpetrators involved in the brutal attack of Uche.

Chinaka confirmed that the suspect, upon interrogation, confessed to his involvement in the crime.

The motive behind the heinous act, however, remains undisclosed as per the official statement released to JKNewsMedia by the Abia police.

Nevertheless, this arrest, according to the police spokesperson, marks a significant step forward in the pursuit of justice for Emmanuel Uche and his grieving family. It is also not made clear if the late Emmanuel had any link to the cult activities that claimed his life.

The apprehended suspect is slated to face legal proceedings as he is set to be charged to court as the Abia State Police assures the public of its commitment to ensuring that all individuals involved in the senseless violence are brought to justly swiftly and decisively.
