FRESH FOCUS on Ogun State’s infrastructure renewal shaped Governor Dapo Abiodun’s commissioning of the newly remodeled Executive Council Chambers on Friday at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, where he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering lasting, quality public facilities.
Governor Abiodun, joined by former Governor Chief Olusegun Osoba, said the chamber previously required urgent attention, describing its former condition as “an embarrassment.”
He explained that the government deliberately chose a comprehensive remodeling approach rather than constructing a new building, emphasising that the decision aligned with prudent resource management and the administration’s long-term development priorities.
The upgraded council chamber now includes digital display screens, individual work monitors, an enhanced public-address system, improved executive seating and modernised lighting.
The governor said the enhancements were designed to strengthen the quality of governance and decision-making within the state’s highest policy organ.
He noted that the project forms part of a broader urban regeneration and renewal drive implemented under the ISEYA development pillars.

According to him, ongoing improvements across key locations—including the transformation of the Ibara GRA, reflect a deliberate agenda to upgrade public infrastructure and reinforce Ogun State’s status as a modern, investment-friendly environment.
He commended members of the State Executive Council for their role in sustaining the administration’s progress and supporting the delivery of core development projects.
Chief Osoba described the remodeled chamber as world-class and commended the governor for upgrading areas that had experienced prolonged neglect.
He noted that improvements in Ibara GRA and other public facilities underscored the administration’s determination to modernise Ogun State’s infrastructure landscape.
