A THIRD National Stakeholders’ Conference with the theme: “Building Bridges: Collaborative Solutions for a Trusted Banking and Financial Services Experience” is set to be held by the Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB).

Scheduled for Thursday, May 30th, 2024, the event will take place at Bankers House, CIBN, Adeola Hopewell Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year’s conference will tackle comprehensive customer service issues within banks and financial institutions. With a roster of top-tier speakers and expert panels, the event aims to promote dialogue and collaboration across the financial sector, moving beyond competition to foster a unified approach to industry challenges and enhance customer experience.

Wale Abioye, Consumer Solutions Strategist and Partner at KPMG’s Strategy & Customer Solutions Advisory Services, will deliver the keynote address, offering insights on collaborative solutions in banking and financial services.

Discussions will feature prominent industry leaders such as Oguche Agudah, CEO & Executive Secretary of the Pension Operators of Nigeria (PenOp), and Stephen Alangbo, Managing Director/CEO of Cornerstone Insurance. Other notable panelists include Virgine Nowak, Chief Customer Experience Officer of Access Bank, and Lande Atere, Chief Customer Experience Officer of First Bank, who will share their expertise on creating a seamless banking experience through collaboration. Representing the interests of banking customers, Sola Salako-Ajulo, a renowned consumer advocate and Federal Commissioner on the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal (CCPT), will also join the panels.

Hon. Justice B.B. Kanyip, Ph.D., President of the Industrial Court of Nigeria, Abuja, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour. ACAMB President Rasheed Bolarinwa emphasized the conference’s significance in today’s financial climate, stating, “Our goal is to create an environment where stakeholders can come together to share knowledge, address common challenges, and work towards a unified vision of trust and excellence in banking services. By building bridges and fostering collaboration, we believe we can significantly enhance the customer experience and drive growth in the sector.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore innovative solutions and strategies addressing both current and future challenges in the financial sector. The event will also facilitate networking among peers, industry stakeholders, and key decision-makers, paving the way for meaningful collaborations and partnerships.

The annual ACAMB stakeholders’ conference is open to members of the banking and financial services industry, corporate and marketing communication experts, regulators, policymakers, technology and service providers, industry analysts, and the media.

This conference marks a pivotal moment for Nigeria’s banking industry to unite, exchange ideas, and chart a course for a more collaborative and trusted financial future.
