THREE PRESTIGIOUS awards were clinched by Chain Reactions Africa (CRA) at the Lagos PR Industry Gala & Awards (LaPRIGA) 2024, held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

The event was held to celebrate excellence in public relations, spotlighting CRA for its outstanding achievements.

CRA won the ‘Public Sector PR Campaign of the Year’ for its innovative Windfall Tax Policy Campaign, executed for the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

The campaign not only raised public awareness about the policy but also encouraged compliance among stakeholders.

It further earned the ‘Best in Crisis Management’ award, recognising the team’s strategic communication efforts in averting potential crises linked to the policy’s enforcement.

The crowning achievement came as Managing Director and Chief Strategist, Israel Jaiye Opayemi, was named the ‘Most Influential PR Professional’.

He was lauded for his leadership, dedication, and significant contributions to advancing the public relations industry.

Expressing gratitude, Opayemi dedicated the accolades to his team, describing them as “creative rebels” driving the company’s success.

“This recognition is for every member of the Chain Reactions Africa Tribe. Your commitment and sacrifices make this possible,” he said.

The Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Comfort Obot Nwankwo, praised the winners, urging them to maintain high ethical standards and inspire others.

“Let us use our influence to drive inclusivity and sustainability in public relations,” she added.

The 9th edition of LaPRIGA, themed ‘The Shining Stars,’ featured 22 award categories, with 81 entries submitted.

The event attracted key stakeholders from corporate, private, and public sectors, underscoring the industry’s growth and excellence.

A statement issued notes that this year’s wins add to CRA’s impressive track record.

Earlier in 2024, the company swept seven awards at the SABRE Awards, claimed the ‘Outstanding PR Agency of the Year’ title at the Edge Awards, and won multiple honours at the Brandcom Awards.

With offices in Lagos and Abuja, CRA’s statement notes that the company us dominating the marketing communications landscape, setting benchmarks in professionalism and innovative storytelling.
