DELTA STATE Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been honoured with the 2024 Integrity Man of the Year Award.
This was at the Integrity Group Leadership Summit held in Asaba on Wednesday.
It was part of the development initiative aimed at transforming the State.
The event highlighted the governor’s impactful programmes under the MORE Agenda, which have significantly reshaped lives across the state.
Representing the governor, Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Reuben Izeze, expressed gratitude for the recognition.
He emphasised that the administration’s policies, including free healthcare for pregnant women, children under five, and the elderly, aim to enhance socio-economic well-being in both rural and urban communities.
Dr. Oke Idawene, convener of the summit, praised Oborevwori’s leadership, calling his administration a “divine project.”
Moreover, he noted remarkable progress in areas such as security, economic development, and youth empowerment.
The summit also saw contributions from Dr. Donald Peterson on entrepreneurial development and SP Bright Edafe on security matters, alongside a resounding endorsement for the governor’s re-election bid.
