ACCESS TO government information and public services has been simplified with the launch of GovGuideNigeria, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered platform introduced by the Federal Government for Nigerians across the country.

JKNewsMedia.com reports that the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, disclosed this Thursday in a statement posted on his X handle.

Tijani described the initiative as part of the government’s efforts to improve public service delivery through technology and digital innovation.

He said the platform is accessible through WhatsApp and the web and is available in English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba to ensure wider accessibility for citizens across different linguistic backgrounds.

The minister stated that GovGuideNigeria provides users with easy access to information from more than 35 federal ministries and over 60 government agencies.

Tijani noted that the platform is designed to bridge language and information gaps, particularly for underserved and low literacy communities that often face challenges accessing government information and services.

He added that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that AI and digital technologies deliver practical value to citizens.

Head of Public Policy at Meta, Sade Dada, described the initiative as a practical example of how open-source AI can support economic growth and social development in Africa.

Dada said GovGuideNigeria was developed by Nigerian technology firm Publica AI using Meta’s open source AI models and noted that the project highlights the role of local innovation and talent in building technology solutions tailored to African realities.

Chief Executive Officer of Publica AI, Ignatius Willie, said the platform was designed to transform how Nigerians interact with public institutions.
