…Iran Sent Costa Rica to the Slaughter Slab 5-0.

NIGERIA’s SUPER Eagles on Tuesday in Turkey failed to cross over Jordan’s Chilvairous Ones in a disappointing 2-2 draw before a crowd of 7,428 fans in an international senior men’s friendly football encounter.

Nigeria ranked 26th in the world failed book makers who were expecting the the Eagles to play super over 46th ranked world cup debutante.

Noor Rewabdeb provided an assist for Mousa Al-Tamari to score the leader in the 17th minute of play.

Stand in Captain for Nigeria Simon Moses got the equalizer in the 25th minute after Ademola Lookman’s effort at goal was blocked.

Bright Osayi found Emmanuel Fernandez who was playing his first full match for Nigeria to put Nigeria ahead for the 2nd goal in the 41st minute but the two goal keepers Nigeria fielded, Uzoho and Adeleye showed lack of capacity as Noor provided a 2nd assist to Mohammad Daiud to beat Adeleye who came in for Uzoho in the 77th minute.

Ref Atika Karaogin declared Alex Iwobi a ‘bad boy’ (a terminology used for red card earners in football) when he flashed him a straight red card in the 90+2 minute for bad behaviour.

Nigeria had made six changes to her line up that played Iran. Against Jordan, Adeleye came in for Uzoho, Ndidi a midfielder was brought in for forward Yara Sor while Alex Iwobi was brought in for Raphael Onyedika all between 56-59th minute of play.

This encounter was actually the 3rd time the two teams were meeting. On 28th April 2004 at the LG tournament in Lagos, Nigeria led by Chairman Christian Chukwu crossed the Jordan on dry ground 2-0. In an international friendly match of 28th October 2013 in Amman, the Jordan level rose that Hatem Angel scored the lone goal victory for Jordan.

In the other match, Iran overwhelmed Costa Rica 5-0.

In the first round, Nigeria had beaten Iran 2-1 while Jordan and Costa Rica played 2-2 draw.
