CONDEMNATION OVER the killing of more than 160 people in Kwara State has come from the Embassy of Israel in Nigeria, which described the incident as a horrific act of violence against innocent civilians.

A statement shared on the mission’s X handle on Friday said the embassy expressed deep sympathy with the families of the victims and all those affected by the deadly attack, described as one of the worst mass killings in Nigeria in recent times, JKNewsMedia.com reports.

“The Embassy of Israel in Nigeria condemns the horrific massacre in Kwara State, in which over 160 innocent people were brutally murdered,” the statement said.

The Israeli consular also described the attack as an affront to humanity and said the deliberate targeting of civilians is unacceptable under any circumstances.

“The deliberate targeting of civilians is an affront to humanity and can never be justified no matter when or where it takes place,” the statement added.

Israel also expressed solidarity with the Nigerian government and people and pledged support for efforts to tackle insecurity and protect civilians.

“Israel stands in solidarity with the people and Government of Nigeria in their efforts to confront violence and protect innocent lives,” the embassy said.
