DEADLINE FOR sale of 2026 Direct Entry application forms has been extended to May 8, offering prospective candidates more time to complete their registration for tertiary education.
JKNewsMedia.com reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the extension, stating that the adjustment shifts the earlier closing date forward to allow eligible applicants additional access to the process.
In a statement signed by Fabian Benjamin, the extension was described as part of a broader commitment to widening access to higher education in Nigeria.
The Board also said it approved five additional centres to support the ongoing registration exercise in high demand areas.
JAMB notes that the centres include:
▪️The Centre for Open and Distance Learning,
▪️Mini Campus of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) in Kwara State,
▪️Bells University of Technology in Ogun State,
▪️Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago Iwoye,
▪️The Prof. Usman E Learning Centre at the Federal College of Education Special Oyo, as well as the
▪️Human Development Initiatives Grace House in Lagos, scheduled to begin operations on April 30.
The Board also reiterated that all its offices nationwide, including Professional Registration Centres and Professional Testing Centres, remain open to accommodate candidates seeking to complete their applications.
Also, candidates are advised to take advantage of the extended window and complete their registration promptly, as the Board indicated that further extensions are unlikely.
