COMMITMENT TO Nigeria’s growth and development has earned commendation for Globacom from the Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Signals (NASS), Major General Kennedy Osemwegie, who indicated the school’s willingness to partner with the company in advancing its mandate.
Speaking during a visit to Globacom’s corporate head office in Lagos, Major General Osemwegie emphasised that cooperation remained central to civil-military relations and expressed the school’s interest in working with the Glo Foundation to support both academic and professional training.
He stated that Globacom had consistently maintained a strong Nigerian identity since it commenced operations more than two decades ago.
According to him, the company was extending the boundaries of national pride through its Nigeria-centred initiatives.
The Commandant, who was accompanied by senior officials of the school, said the visit was aimed at exploring possible areas of support from Globacom.
He explained that the Nigerian Army School of Signals served as the hub for training army personnel in ICT and communications, while also supporting other paramilitary organisations.
He noted that collaboration with corporate organisations such as Globacom would further enable the school to discharge its responsibilities effectively.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of Globacom’s management, Director of Strategy and Board Affairs, Mrs Mojisola Ashieru Sweet, affirmed the company’s readiness to partner with the institution.
She highlighted Globacom’s role as an indigenous brand driving transformational initiatives across Nigeria.

Mrs Sweet explained that collaboration could cover critical areas such as the adoption of Globacom’s Learning Management System (LMS), a core part of the Glo Smart Learning Suite.
The system, she noted, could be customised to meet the needs of educational institutions, offering tools for digital content creation, live classes, online assessments, and performance monitoring.
It also features instant messaging and video conferencing to enrich the learning experience.
She further added that the Smart Learning Suite included an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for school administration and bundled data packages, ensuring uninterrupted access for students.
