Oyo TESCOM Announces 9,000 Candidates Move to Interviews

THE OYO State Post-Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has released the results for its recent computer-based tests.

Approximately 9,000 candidates have passed.

Pastor Akinade Alamu, Chairman of the Commission, shared the news in Ibadan.

He announced that the minimum cut-off mark to advance is set at 50%.

The next phase involves interviews, which will begin on August 14, 2024.

These interviews will be conducted by ten panels, each led by current or former Permanent Secretaries.

Each panel will consist of five members.

Candidates are advised to check their results online by logging into their portal.

The interview schedule is as follows:

  • August 14: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geography.
  • August 15: English, Physics, Health Education, Technical Drawing, Music, and French.
  • August 16: Basic Science, Home Economics, and Computer Science.
  • August 19: Commerce, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, Literature in English, and Guidance and Counseling.
  • August 20: Social Studies, Business Studies, and Food and Nutrition.
  • August 21: Economics, Government, Finance and Account, Fine Arts, and History.
  • August 22: Agricultural Science, Yoruba, and Arabic

Following the teaching category interviews, non-teaching categories will be assessed.

Candidates are required to bring their credentials, proof of local government origin, birth certificates, and other relevant documents.

Pastor Alamu praised the candidates for their conduct during the computer-based test and urged them to maintain the same level of professionalism during the interviews.
