Recruitment Portal Reopens As CDCFIB Urges Applicants To Complete Interrupted Submissions

APPLICANTS WHO began but failed to complete their online registration for recruitment into Nigeria’s paramilitary services have been directed to return to the portal and finalise the process as the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) reopened its platform today, Monday, 21st July 2025.

The announcement came through a statement issued by the Board on Sunday night, following widespread frustration caused by technical interruptions during the initial application phase.

The agency attributed the disruption to an overwhelming surge in traffic from prospective candidates, which outstripped the portal’s operational capacity.

The recruitment portal originally launched on 14th July for entry into four federal paramilitary agencies: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.

But just three days later, on 17th July, the CDCFIB temporarily suspended the process to address system limitations and optimise performance.

According to the Board, the shutdown was a proactive step to ensure all applicants could have an equal opportunity to participate.

It reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and fairness, urging young Nigerians to revisit the portal and complete their applications.

The CDCFIB acknowledged the delay caused anxiety among thousands eager to serve in the nation’s uniformed services.

It expressed regret over the inconvenience but maintained that the upgrade was vital to prevent further disruption and improve the overall experience for users.

The Board assured applicants that the process remains open, merit-based and impartial, reinforcing its pledge to uphold integrity in public recruitment as the portal resumes full operations.
