PRESIDENT BOLA Tinubu arrived in Kaduna on Friday for a one-day working visit that featured both official and personal engagements.
His aircraft touched down at the Kaduna International Airport around 1 p.m., where he was received by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.
The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, joined the reception alongside federal ministers, senators and senior government officials.
According to the Presidency, President Tinubu’s itinerary included a courtesy visit to the family of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He was scheduled to meet Aisha Buhari, the widow of the late former President, at the family residence in Kaduna.
Officials described the visit as part of the President’s commitment to sustaining relationships with Nigeria’s past leaders and their families.
The Kaduna State Government confirmed the President’s arrival and noted the presence of high-ranking officials in the welcoming delegation.
The Presidency added that security arrangements had been concluded in collaboration with federal agencies to ensure smooth coordination throughout the visit.
Alongside the official engagement, President Tinubu attended the wedding ceremony of Nasirudeen Yari and Safiyya Idris. Nasirudeen is the son of former Zamfara State Governor and serving senator for Zamfara West, Abdul’aziz Yari.
The event, attended by political figures and dignitaries, formed part of the day’s schedule but remained distinct from the official courtesy visit.
Government officials explained that the Kaduna trip, while brief, reflected a combination of institutional and personal obligations.
By late afternoon, the President was expected to conclude the courtesy call at the Buhari family residence after attending the family celebration.
