Valerie Tunde-Obe Named Punch Newspaper’s Executive Director

THE APPOINTMENT has been announced of Valerie Omowunmi Tunde-Obe as Executive Director, Business Development and Innovation by the Punch Nigeria Limited management.

The company said her tenure begins on January 1, 2025, as confirmed in a statement released by the publishers of Nigeria’s most widely read newspaper.

Tunde-Obe previously served as a Non-Executive Director at the same company, where she played a pivotal role in corporate governance, strategic planning, and innovation.

With over 20 years of diverse experience across arts, advertising, beauty, and culinary industries, her multifaceted expertise in counted upon to play out for productiveness.

Her professional journey began at LTC/JWT Advertising as a copywriter, where she worked on major campaigns for brands like Coca-Cola, Guinness, Unilever, and Cadbury.

She later ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing firms such as KOPYKATS & Associates Limited, United Hairways Beauty Company, and Iya Ibadan Local Cuisine & Foods.

In the music industry, Tunde-Obe and her husband, performing as T.W.O, have enjoyed a career spanning nearly three decades.

She is a University of Lagos graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and holds certifications in entrepreneurship and innovation from Harvard Business School Online.

She disclosed that in her free time, she enjoys music, painting, reading, travelling, and meeting people.
