RESULTS FOR the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASCE) for school candidates have officially been released, according to a statement from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

The examination body made the announcement via its official X handle on Monday 4th August 2025, confirming that candidates who sat the exam can now check their performance online.

“The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025,” WAEC stated.

Candidates are directed to access their results through the Council’s portal by logging on to http://waecdirect.org, the statement added.

WAEC is the examination body that serves English-speaking West African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia.

Also, the WASSCE is a prerequisite for university admission across the sub-region.

Here’s Step-by-Step Guide to Check Your 2025 WASSCE Results

WAEC released a simple guide to help candidates check their 2025 WASSCE results online following the steps below:

▪️Visit the WAEC result portal at www.waecdirect.org

▪️Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number
(This is your 7-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number. For example: 4123456789)

▪️Select your Examination Year – choose 2025

▪️Select your Examination Type – e.g., School Candidate Result

▪️Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number

▪️Enter the PIN from the e-PIN voucher

▪️Click on Submit

▪️Wait for your result to be displayed on the screen

WAEC also advised candidates to ensure all details are entered correctly and to avoid multiple attempts that could block access temporarily.
