FOR COMMUNITY development and safety, the Dein of Agbor, His Royal Majesty Benjamin Ikenchuku Gbenoba, has initiated a collaborative effort with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to combat drug trafficking and substance abuse in Delta State.

During a strategic meeting with NDLEA Chairman Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), the monarch stressed the urgent need to eradicate drug-related activities within his kingdom.

Emphasizing the detrimental effects of drug abuse on society, the monarch expressed his commitment to working closely with NDLEA to secure Agbor from the grip of illicit substances.

NDLEA Chairman Marwa, in response, affirmed the agency’s readiness to support local communities in enforcing anti-drug laws and promoting public awareness.

He highlighted NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to curb drug supply and reduce demand through comprehensive community engagement and enforcement strategies, adding that the partnership aims to send a strong message to drug dealers operating in Agbor while providing support to residents affected by drug abuse.

Marwa also said he was certain that the collaboration is expected to enhance community safety and contribute to the overall well-being of Agbor’s residents.
