ANTICIPATION IS building across continents as preparations intensify for the 2025 edition of the annual Global December Retreat of the Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC), an event the church describes as a season of divine visitation anchored on the theme “The Great Redemption Power”.

The five-day retreat is scheduled to run from December 24 to 28, drawing worshippers to designated centres across Lagos, the Deeper Life campgrounds in several states, and multiple international locations.

The programme remains one of the church’s largest annual gatherings, uniting participants from different nations in a shared spiritual focus at the close of the year.

At the heart of the retreat is the ministry of the Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William F. Kumuyi.

He is expected to minister alongside other seasoned ministers of the gospel, leading teachings and sessions aimed at deepening spiritual understanding and guiding participants into what the church describes as beneficial and life changing experiences.

A release from the church said the 2025 retreat is positioned as a highly rewarding spiritual encounter, marked by what it calls a promise of divine visitation and the assurance of God’s multi-dimensional blessings.

The church stated that the programme will focus on redemption as a lived experience, with expectations of spiritual renewal and restoration.

“Burdens shall be lifted and destinies transformed; lives restored, the sick healed, and chains of bondage shall be broken,” the release stated, describing the anticipated outcomes of the retreat for participants.

With Pastor Kumuyi leading the sessions, alongside other ministers, the release added that retreat is expected to feature in depth teachings, prayer sessions, and moments of spiritual reflection aimed at personal and collective transformation.

The December retreat has, over the years, become a defining moment for members of the DLBC and a wide range of attendees who travel from within and outside Nigeria to participate.

The church describes the gathering as a convergence of prayer, teaching, worship, and reflection, designed to help participants close the year with clarity of purpose and renewed faith.

According to the release, the 2025 edition continues this tradition by placing strong emphasis on redemption as a source of spiritual power and transformation adding that the theme, “The Great Redemption Power”, reflects the church’s focus on spiritual renewal and preparation for the year ahead.

The Church notes that the programme is open to people from all walks of life, including families, individuals, and groups seeking spiritual direction as the year draws to a close, and encouraged participants to take advantage of the retreat as an opportunity to align their lives with what it described as the fullness of God’s redemptive power.

It also said millions around the world are expected to join the programme across physical locations and designated centres, making it a truly global gathering adding that the church noted that the retreat offers a platform for collective worship and shared spiritual experiences that transcend national and cultural boundaries.
