GOVERNOR DAPO Abiodun of Ogun State has commended the peaceful conduct of citizens during the first day of the anti-hunger protest.

He specifically praised the youth and students for heeding the government’s advice to avoid being used by frustrated politicians.

The governor Abiodun expressed his gratitude to the residents for their discipline and resolve in maintaining peace.

“Your actions reflect the maturity and responsibility of our youth. You have shown that our voices can be heard without resorting to violence or destruction,” he said.

Professionals’ Advice Welcome on State Economy

In a related development, Ogun State Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, urged professionals to provide advice on sustaining the state’s growing economy.

He made this appeal during a meeting with the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), Ogun State chapter, led by Chairman Alhaji Ebun Atinuke.

Mr. Onasanya highlighted the significant growth of Ogun State under the governor’s administration, attributing it to strategic planning based on the five pillars of I.S.E.Y.A.

He emphasized the importance of expert advice for effective policymaking and the need for professionals to mentor younger generations.

The HoS praised the administration’s worker-friendly policies, including interventions to mitigate the impact of fuel price increases, such as the launch of e-bikes and tricycles.

He called on APBN members to contribute their expertise to enrich government policies and address issues like building collapses.

Alhaji Atinuke commended the government for its efforts to improve the economy and support citizens, particularly through recent initiatives like e-bikes and tricycles.

He urged continued collaboration for capacity building and other needs of the professional body.
