Stressing the Hangout’s objective, Onyegbule said; “Women must step out, connect, network, and impact. No one is coming to hand your opportunities; you must reach out and take them. This Hangout gives women the runway to do exactly that.”
She described the gathering as a space for intellectual exchange, mentorship, and long-term collaboration, enabling women to translate networking into meaningful action.
Onyegbule brings over twenty years of broadcast consultancy experience to the initiative. As DG, IBC, Owerri, she has recruited and trained broadcasters, established media stations, and advised high-net-worth clients and organisations.
Her leadership of WoS and the WASEI positions her at the forefront of female advocacy in media and society.
The Sisters’ Hangout is structured to maximise engagement through interactive discussions, mentorship opportunities, and practical takeaways for participants, she asserted.
Speaking further, she noted that the programme is designed to foster collaboration across industries, amplify women’s voices, and build leadership and confidence, while inspiring community impact and strategic partnerships among women-owned businesses.
Onyegbule stressed: “With an emphasis on professional growth, practical guidance, and actionable insight, the inaugural event is set to establish a benchmark for women-focused empowerment initiatives in Nigeria.
“Our attendees can expect to benefit from cross-industry networking, mentorship, and real-world guidance, bridging gaps between ambition and opportunity across media, business, fintech, health, education, and social innovation.
“In addition, WoS’ maiden Sisters’ Hangout aims to create lasting value, promoting sustainable leadership, strategic collaboration, and empowerment for women determined to shape industries and influence communities,” she attested.
