NIGERIANS SEEKING postgraduate study opportunities abroad can apply for the 2026 Ireland Fellows Programme (IFP from June 29, following the announcement by the Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria.
JKNewsMedia.com reports that the embassy, in a post on its X handle on Friday, said the fellowship offers early and mid-career professionals from Nigeria and Ghana the opportunity to undertake a fully funded one-year Master’s degree at leading universities in Ireland.
“Applications for the Ireland Fellows Programme opens on 29 June 2026! Apply for the opportunity to study in Ireland on a fully funded master’s scholarship,” the embassy said.
It stated that prospective applicants from Nigeria and Ghana could obtain details about the programme and its application process through the Ireland Fellows Programme portal.
The embassy said applicants must be resident nationals of Nigeria or Ghana, hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower division and have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
It added that Nigerian applicants are eligible for the Roger Casement Fellowship in Human Rights, which supports Master’s programmes in Law, Human Rights and Governance.
It also says the fellowship covers tuition fees, accommodation stipend, monthly allowance, flights, visa costs and health insurance.
The embassy also announces that applications open on June 29, 2026, and close on July 26, 2026, and advised applicants to make their submissions through the IFP website at https://irelandfellows.africa/.
