THE Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, is once again mourning the demise of veteran actor Zulu Adigwe, known for his memorable roles in films such as “Living in Bondage” and Breaking Free” as he passed away on Tuesday evening.

The cause of his death has not yet been disclosed.

The news of Adigwe’s passing was announced by movie producer, Stanle Nwokolo via his Instagram handle.

Nwokolo expressed regret as he shared the news stating: “Rest in peace, good actor.”

Adigwe’s death adds to the strings of losses suffered by Nollywood in 2024 with seven actors including Sisi Quadri, Mr. Ibu and Junior Pope among others, already having passed away earlier in the year.

Adigwe, known for portrayal of fatherly characters, made significant contributions to the Nigerian film industry. His talent and presence in popular productions earned him recognition and respect among his peers and fans alike.

Born in Enugu State, Adigwe later moved to Austria where he completed his primary and secondary education before pursuing his career in acting.

The passing of Zulu Adigwe marks yet another loss for Nollywood, leaving behind a legacy memorable performances and contributions to the Nigerian entertainment scene.
