RECOGNISED FOR its commitment to impactful community development, Polaris Bank has emerged as a leader in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) across Nigeria.

At the 18th edition of the Sustainability, Enterprise, and Responsibility Awards (SERAS), held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, the bank was awarded the “Best in Rural Population Integration” category.

The SERAS Awards, Africa’s foremost sustainability recognition platform, celebrates organisations that drive lasting societal and environmental change.

Polaris Bank’s initiatives in Nigeria have also delivered critical interventions, addressing rural challenges while fostering growth.

Moreover, these efforts include sponsoring the planting of 2,000 economic trees in communities like Ajingi, Kano State, and providing clean water through borehole installations in underserved areas.

The bank has also supported over 15,000 indigent students with educational resources and facilitated free breast cancer screenings for 20,000 women.

Additionally, the bank has renovated vocational centres, donated ICT laboratories, and supported Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) through medical outreaches and significant donations.

Speaking, Polaris Bank’s Managing Director, Kayode Lawal, expressed gratitude for the recognition, reiterating the bank’s unwavering dedication to enhancing lives and mitigating climate change effects.
