STRAGEGIC DEPLOYMENT of police personnel and resources across approved examination centres in the Federal Capital Territory has been ordered to secure the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Computer-Based Test.
JKNewsMedia.com reports that the Commissioner of Police, FCT Police Command, Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, directed the deployment of operational assets and intelligence resources to all approved centres across the territory.
Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Josephine Adeh, stated on April 15, 2026 that the measure aligns with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and is aimed at ensuring a safe and conducive environment for candidates, examination officials, and other stakeholders throughout the examination period.
The command mandated all deployed operatives to maintain professionalism, remain courteous and firm, and take decisive action against examination malpractice, disorderly conduct, and any form of security breach.
Operatives are also expected to work in synergy with other security agencies to secure examination centres, surrounding areas, and access routes.
Sanusi called on candidates, parents, guardians, and the general public to cooperate with security personnel and adhere to examination guidelines to ensure a smooth exercise.
The command reiterated its commitment to the protection of lives and property and urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities through the emergency lines 08032003913 and 08061581938.

Ondo Police Deploy Personnel To Secure JAMB CBT Centres
Also in Ondo State, deployment of security personnel and operational assets across JAMB CBT centres across the state has been carried out to ensure a safe examination process.
The state police command confirmed the development in a statement issued on Thursday by its spokesperson, Abayomi Jimoh, who said the UTME commenced on April 16.
Jimoh stated that the measure was introduced to ensure the examination is conducted safely, securely, and without incident.
He said the deployment forms part of a coordinated security architecture designed to safeguard candidates, examination officials, and facilities, while maintaining public order throughout the examination period.
“This proactive measure is in strict compliance with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu. The IGP emphasised the need for a robust security presence at all examination centres nationwide to prevent any form of disruption, malpractice, or criminal activity.
“The deployed personnel have been strategically positioned to provide access control, crowd management, traffic regulation, and rapid response to any emerging situation within and around the examination centres.
“Area commanders, divisional police officers, and tactical teams have also been directed to intensify patrols and surveillance in their respective areas of responsibility to ensure total coverage and effectiveness. The command wishes to reassure candidates, parents, and guardians of its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property,” he said.
The spokesperson advised candidates to conduct themselves in an orderly manner, comply with examination guidelines, and cooperate with security personnel at the centres.
He also urged parents and guardians to avoid overcrowding at examination venues and adhere to security advisories to ensure smooth operations.
