PRESIDENT BOLA Tinubu will on Friday begin a two-day working visit to Katsina State, where he will review the state’s security outlook, commission strategic development projects, and attend a private function hosted by Governor Dikko Umar Radda.
According to a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu is expected to depart Abuja for Katsina on Friday, 2 May.
He is to commission agricultural centre, inspect infrastructure, attend governor’s family ceremony.
During the visit, the President will engage with critical stakeholders in Katsina to evaluate the region’s security challenges, which have remained a concern in Nigeria’s North-West.
The consultations are expected to focus on current threats and collaborative strategies for long-term stability and peace.
Tinubu is also scheduled to inaugurate the Katsina Agricultural Mechanised Centre, a flagship initiative designed to advance large-scale mechanised farming and improve food production across the state.
The project aligns with the federal government’s broader push for agricultural transformation and food sufficiency nationwide.
Another highlight of the trip will be the commissioning of a newly completed 24-kilometre dual carriageway, constructed under Governor Radda’s administration to enhance intra-state connectivity and economic movement.
In a non-official capacity, the President will honour a personal invitation to attend the wedding ceremony of Governor Radda’s daughter, rounding off his visit before returning to Abuja.
