EFCC CHAIRMAN, Ola Olukoyede has urged the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to include anti-corruption courses in its curriculum.

This appeal was made during a visit by NOUN’s leadership team, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Olufemi Peters, to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja.

During their meeting, both institutions discussed renewing their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance their cooperation in fighting corruption and financial crimes.

Professor Peters emphasized the visit aimed to strengthen their partnership, highlighting achievements since their MoU was signed in 2021, such as collaborations in cyber security and forensic studies.

The Professor also recalled a joint international workshop organized with several partners, including the African Centre of Excellence in Mathematics, Computer Sciences, and Applications.

He urged the EFCC to continue providing support through internships, technology services, research, and public awareness campaigns.

Olukoyede thanked NOUN for its commitment to their partnership.

He stressed the importance of public education in combating corruption and praised NOUN’s efforts in this regard.

Olukoyede assured that the EFCC would review and strengthen their MoU for more effective collaboration.
