REGISTRATION OPENS for Lagos State indigenes seeking admission into Lagos State University (LASU) through the 2025/2026 academic session, following official confirmation from the university management.

Candidates who selected LASU as first choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored at least 195 are directed to complete the Indigeneship Verification Exercise from Monday, 26th May to Thursday, 19th June 2025.

The online registration portal will be active from 26th May via https://lasu.edu.ng/iive/, where applicants are required to make payments directly to the designated Lagos State University account.

Verification interviews will run in four distinct phases, beginning 26th May and concluding 19th June 2025.

Candidates will be screened according to the division of their local government of origin.

Also, verification centres include the Sociology Class near the University Health Centre (Ikeja Division), New TETFund Building at the Faculty of Education (Badagry Division), Law Clinic within the Faculty of Law (Ikorodu Division), International Business Class at the MBA Building (Lagos Division), and the School of Transport and Logistics (Epe Division).

Only candidates of Lagos State origin are eligible and must be cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) before they can be considered for admission.

Participation in this exercise, however, does not serve as automatic proof or guarantee of admission into the institution.

Previous applicants from the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic sessions who were not offered admission must revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates online, while Direct Entry candidates of Lagos origin are also required to participate in the verification process.

The university warned against unofficial transactions, stressing that all payments must go through the authorised platform. Any applicant who pays through other means does so at personal risk.
