BRITISH NIGERIAN former World Heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua (AJ) on Saturday night at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia suffered a surprise two first round knock downs from his test opponent Kristian Prenga of Albania.
Prenga had shoved a left upper cut on AJ in the 20th second that made him crash to the canvas and another hook in the same round brought AJ down.
AJ however recovered in the 2nd round and his trademark monstrous punch sent Prenga to a good night sleep as the Ref had to stop the bought to save Prenga from any devastating damage.
Cover photo courtesy of Getty Photos shows AJ shouting out for Tyson Fury as his opponent tonight Prenga could not stand on his feet for final ringside announcements.
AJ who got his 27th technical knockout victory of his career was fighting after he lost two of his team-mates, Ghami and Ayodele in a car crash in Nigeria where he himself escaped by whiskers last December.
The pugilist who is a Prince of Remoland in Ijebu Nigeria had carried the names of his two late friends on his chest and the names were also written on the canvas.
He had fought Daniel Dubois last September and lost before he broke the jaw of Jake Paul sending him to hospital from the ring side ten days before the car crash in Nigeria.
Fans will not forget easily that Jake Paul’s mother said publicly that she would not forgive AJ for the terrible injuries caused her son.
Smiling like a school-boy, AJ called out his next opponent in the much-expected rumble in Saudi later this year, fellow Briton, Tyson Fury who was missing at the ring side.
Fury on Friday got a 7th round technical knockout on Marinsz Wach in Thailand in a none televised warm up bout.
